(25 hours per week)
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and forward thinking IT Network Manager to join our team of 140 adults and 710 children. We are a large primary based on the east side of the City and are passionate about the care and education of our students from a socially diverse community.
We are proud of our inclusive ethos and we work together to support each other and meet the needs of our staff and children.
We are seeking to recruit someone who can manage our complete IT Infrastructure – our servers, firewall, laptops and iPads, telecoms infrastructure etc, as well as being responsible for advising, training and supporting staff and children throughout the school with IT issues. The successful applicant will need to have a good knowledge of IT and be quick to pick up new systems, these might include software updates to support staff or the curriculum, programming laptops and iPads, managing the school security systems and access rights.
No two days in school are the same – resulting in an interesting role with varying responsibilities. Half the school network is in our brand new building (built February 2020), and the IT infrastructure in that building has been updated.
The successful applicant will need the ability to give training to staff and children on different aspects of IT and at different levels of understanding as necessary. The IT Manager within our school will need to be proactive in suggestions for the future whilst working within limited school budgets.
We initially are seeking someone on a 52 weeks per year contract, however, for the right applicant, we would consider term time only plus two-three weeks, negotiable, for project works that need to be carried out during school closures.
